Special Events

Every year we like to thank our community by hosting free Special Events.  We truly appreciate the enthusiasm and support of our community members and Special Events are a great way for folks to enjoy the Children’s Garden and all it has to offer!

High Park Harvest Festival (1)

With Colborne Lodge Museum and the High Park Nature Centre.

Sunday, October 6th, 2019 from Noon – 5 p.m

A great day of family fun including music, drama, storytelling, nature crafts and activities, traditional lawn games, seed collecting and a free Children’s Garden harvest lunch while it lasts! Entrance is free as are most activities at the Children’s Garden. There are a few pay as you go activities at Colborne Lodge.

Crafts this year include Nature Windows,  Pine Cone Critters and Leaf Pounding (using Live Green Lunch bags of course! Along with the usual Scavenger hunts and garden activities.

We will also have DIY musical instruments along with the Junkestra with Mark Sepic (who will also be doing some music performances throughout the day).

We will again have Garden Jane and Bloomin’ Caravan who will be providing:

  • Sensory Spa & Mindful Activity Zone – make herbal honey face and hand scrubs
  • Forest Bathing – Join us to for guided forest bathing sessions throughout the day and learn how to benefit from adding it to your life
  • Rest Well With Nature Nook – Unplug and take a rest with us in our relaxing wellness nook

And Live Green will of course be joining us.

    1. Hello, the High Park Harvest Festival is free … just show up! It happens down around the Children’s Garden and Colborne Lodge Museum. Many activities are free with some you need to pay for on the day of. Hope to see you there!
