Cooking With Veggies!

Our Cooking Programs are expanding! With our beautiful new Children’s Teaching Kitchen up and running we’re now offering cooking programs for a variety of age groups. Of course the most important thing our cooking programs focus on will be the same … all those gorgeous, tasty local fruits and veggies!

You can sign up for our cooking programs through the City of Toronto FUN Guide registration system.  Click here to register online and Click here to find out more about registering over the phone or at your local Rec Centre.

We use fresh fruits and vegetables from the Children’s Garden and local organic farmer’s markets.  Our cooking programs will help teach your children how to prepare and cook vegetables and fruits in a healthy nutritious and tasty way.  All recipes will feature vegetarian dishes.  Your child will prep, cook and eat a dish each week (with the possible exception of something that takes two weeks to put together).  Please send a container with your child for any leftovers they may wish to take home.

    1. The Fall, Sept. 29th class will be held at the Children’s Teaching Kitchen here in High Park at the Children’s Garden. It’s technically considered a fall session so it won’t be available for sign up until the fall Fun Guide comes out … Registration for Etobicoke/York starts at 7 am on Saturday, Sept. 8th and the barcode for the program is 2091920. Feel free to give us a shout if there are any other questions!
