Our Programs

New garden beds at the High Park Children's Garden

We offer a variety of organic gardening, nature exploration and healthy cooking programs as part of the City of Toronto’s Parks Branch. Our unique program location in High Park has recently been renovated to allow for better accessibility and fewer splinters.

The original garden beds were starting to crumble after 20 plus years of service. The wood used to build those beds was reclaimed from an old City boardwalk so it has really served us well. We now have new garden beds ready to be filled with veggies and fruit during future organic gardening programs.

As we slowly and safely reopen following the City of Toronto’s COVID-19 Reopening Protocols, found here, we will once again be offering our programs. You can check out any currently available programs through the City’s FUN Guide here.

Note that registration opens for our Winter Programs on Wednesday, December 15th, 2021 at 7 am! Find out how to register by clicking here.

Once COVID Protocols allow us to reopen we hope to offer the rest of our regular slate of programs such as:

  • Eco Camp Day Camp – Summer and March Break
  • Spring and Fall Curriculum Based School Programs
  • Healthy Vegetarian Cooking Programs
  • Nature Hikes and Environmental Education Programs
  • A variety of workshops from Youth Cooking to Edible Cosmetics
  • Birthday Parties and Guide and Scout Programs
  • Watch Me Grow Summer Drop-In Program
  • Special Events like High Park Harvest Festival

In the meantime stay safe, don’t forget your mask and enjoy the fresh air High Park has to offer. We look forward to seeing you again soon!
