Children’s Garden Programs – Click Here for Brochure
Our gardens are grown organically, which means no chemical pesticides or fertilizers are used. Instead we work with nature by using companion plants and natural sprays to control pests and use compost to fertilize.
Fun, hands-on organic gardening activities are the basis for our Children’s Garden Environmental Education Programs. Drama and music combine with science and geography to educate students in these curriculum linked field trips. We offer programs for preschool through Grade 12. The half-day programs last approximately 2 hours and up to 4 hours for a full-day. We also offer customized programming for children with special needs.
The Children’s Garden Program is available from May to June and September to October. Registration is done on a first come first served basis so don’t forget to register early! The cost is $6/student for a 1/2 day program and $11/student for a full day program (can be combined with a hike or cooking program to make a full day in High Park).
